This annual event was held at Yea Golf Course on Thursday October 17th. 27 ladies from 11 different clubs enjoyed fine weather and a course in excellent condition. The event was 18 holes stroke with the winner needing the best nett score.
Local lady Cindy Armstrong won the main prize, the Isobel Bett Trophy, with a great score of 69 nett. I’m sure Cindy has her trophy in pride of place at home. A great thrill.
Other local winners were Vicki Clements who won B grade nett and Vicky Butler took out Nearest the Pin on the 14th.
Everyone enjoyed a yummy lunch in the clubrooms afterwards.
Isobel Bett was Club President in 1970, 1971 & 1978, a tireless worker who died in 1980 in her mid 50s.
