Twenty six players contested a mixed stableford event on Wednesday. Winner was young new member Eddie Waghorn(40) with 43 points!! And second was his grandfather Peter Johnston with(18) 42 points! Eddie has been taking the cricket world by storm and continues his athletic success in golf. His handicap has now been reduced to 30 but I’m sure this will not hamper future success for him.
Third and best for the Ladies was Sharon Grogan(33) with 41 points from fourth Greg Clements(17) with 40 and fifth Jan Wealands(30) 39 points. NTP on the 18th was Alan Pell and Russ Wealands won the Club Award.
Saturday sees about 30 players at Marysville in round two of the Murrindindi Masters. Next Wednesday will be round 6 of the Gender Challenge with a stroke & putting round, 7:00 for 7:30 hit-off.
