Gender Challenge Lunch A Blast!!

Having to observe from afar, when I first spotted the photos, I didn’t know if I wished to burst into song about “Being on the Road again”, or perhaps a Slim Dusty song “Waltzing Matilda” came to mind. Jumbuck in the tucker bag, so to speak. Fitted the menu perfectly! Then good old farmer Brown popped up followed by the good old Aussie thong. No matter what, you could not dispute the fact , it was definitely AUSSI AUSSIE!!!!!

Once again the girls outdid themselves, not only with creativity, curtesy of Sharon & Lois being in charge, but, also another splendid menu. Made ones mouth water. Boys you are spoilt. I think maybe they rig the deal just so they can reap the spoils. Todays menu, fit for a king, Slow cooked Lamb (there goes the Jumbuk in the tucker bag) , beef and pork! (the farmer certainly had a look in there), placket potatoes, roast pumpkin salad and coleslaw. As if that wasn’t enough, followed by Pavlova, apricot torte, apple crumble and lastly, fruit salad and ice-cream. If you were not amply satisfied there had to be something wrong with you. I do believe one man responded by message that it was of A1 quality , very much appreciated, having to leave early but not without sampling the goods.

Well girls, know you tried. Last day trailing a 70 point lead, battled bravely. Miranda Gill topped the last day (also winning the Mary Walker Trophy) but still, was not quite enough to topple the leaders. Sadly for the girls, still a minus of 25. Next Year Girls, you all need to be waited on for a change!!

Typical of the Good Old Aussie Spirit, the days festivities were celebrated with much laughter and jolliness, a thing very familiar to all those that attend any function created by the folk at the Yea Golf Club! Happy Golfing Everyone! Watch out next year boys, your cooking! CHEERS MATE!!
