What a day! The birds were singing the sun was shining although a wee bit wet underfoot a great day to be out chasing the little white ball. Today for us was the first round of the Mona Clark 36 hole Stableford event. Awarded by Mona in 1984. Mona started playing in 1934 at the age of 18 and continued to play for 50 years. Mona was President in 1963, 1964 and 1965 she was also a life member. Today’s first round was won by Laraine Callander 31 pts. Runner up Karen Sangster 30 pts on a count back from Adrianne Anglin also 30 pts. and Adrianne took out the NTP. Tomorrow a few of us are off to try our luck again playing the sand scrapes at Avenel. Last time we were there we came home with a victory fingers crossed. Happy Golfing everyone!
