With the threat of another 20mm of rain on an already damp course just seven brave golfers
took to the course today ….,only to enjoy a great round of competition,
Neil Peterson (playing off 10) carded a fine 35 points to lead 4 other men with Alan Pell a few behind on 32. However Alan knocked Neil off by a few centimetres for NTP on the 18th.
Bob Glenister took out his inaugural much ‘coveted’ Club Award with 27 points. This just proves what a great equaliser the game of golf can be!
Only two ladies played today in a stableford round. Vicky Butler was the winner with a lovely 34 pts. & Laraine Callander came second with 30 pts.
Despite all the rain the Yea Golf Course is, and will be in great shape for Friday’s Davis Sanders Home sponsored Corporate Day. We currently have entries from some 75 players and our ladies are cooking up a storm so it will be a great day. If you haven’t already entered call Gary asap ….he may be able to fit you in.
