Friday saw over 100 golfers at Royal Yea for the Annual Corporate – 3 Person Ambrose Event which included a fabulous sit down luncheon. The Wining team was Scott Christie Irrigation 2 with 55 1/6 from second Inductabend with 56 1/3. In the mixed event Yea Pharmacy with 60 2/3 won from Miranda & Rob Gill, Karen Saunders with 64 2/3.

Of course such a big day requires plenty of workers and the Club thanks all the members and personnel who gave of their time.
Wednesday’s golf saw the first of nine rounds of the Gender Challenge. First round was a stableford event with Gavin Houldcroft(37) with 42 points taking the win. Second was Miranda Gill(19) with 39 points from third Jim Redmond(25) 37 on CB from Sam Gregory(21) and Chris Dunne(7). Due to the Men having 10 more players the handicap was that the first 3 men’s results didn’t count in the Gender Competition.
The Gender Points were: Ladies – Miranda Gill 39. With 25 points. Men – Chris Dunne 37 – 20 points, Jobe Dunne 37 -15, Jack Kenney (34) – 10 Glenn Walsh (33 cb) – 5. Mens Team Av ( 29.8). Ladies team Average (29.4) – 10 points to Men. Total Men 60 Ladies 25.
Saturday’s Stableford saw 22 men compete with Jobe Dunne(20) continuing his excellent form with 43 points to win from Brian Simmons(11) with 39 second. Rick wills(10) 38 was third, Chris Dunne(6) with 37 fourth and Paul Heyen(27) with 36cb was fifth.
